Counseling Center Paraprofessional Program Mission:
In keeping with the Counseling Center mission, the training and outreach of the Counseling Center Paraprofessional program strives to incorporate a multicultural, developmental, and strengths-based approach to psycho-educational services offered.

About The CCP Program: 
The Counseling Center Paraprofessional (CCP) program consists of a three-semester course sequence that provides the student with training in interpersonal communication, public speaking, basic helping skills, cultural competency, professional ethics, and workshop development.

In the second and third semester, CCPs work closely with professional staff and graduate assistants to provide outreach and prevention services and programs to other students. These include workshops and other programs about mental health, time management, study skills, stress, relationships, and other wellness related concepts. During these semesters, CCPs receive on-going training and supervision. This program gives students a wide range of skills that are transferrable to a variety of professional fields or in preparation for graduate school.
