$1,000 Award - Entries due January 15.ELIGIBILITY:The competition is open to doctoral students who have completed their thesis at accredited colleges and universities in the year preceeding the next Annual Meeting. All dissertations and correspondence must be in the English language.ENTRY PROCEDURE: Students who wish to enter the competition need to submit 1) this entry from with an electronic copy of their 2) vita/resume, the 3) thesis, and 4) a letter from a member of the student’s Ph.D. Committee stating why the thesis is especially meritorious. Your letter of recommendation can be uploaded now, or emailed separately to LERAoffice@illinois.edu.

Please upload your paper. Please name your file "LastnameFirstname-Dissertation", and please remove any SPACES from the file name. PDF documents are greatly preferred. The maximum file upload size is 100MB, which is VERY large. If your paper is still too large, please try opening it in Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional, choosing 'document' and 'reduce file size'. Failing that, call 217-244-5419, or cut your document into smaller sections, and upload multiple files, or email them to LERAoffice@illinois.edu.
