The Odyssey Project offers free college courses in art history, philosophy, literature, US history, and critical thinking and writing for adults through the University of Illinois. Classes will meet in person for the 2022-2023 academic year. In compliance with University of Illinois COVID-19 protocols, students will be required to show proof of vaccination.

To apply you must be at least 18 years old, income-eligible, and may not already have a Bachelor’s degree. A high school diploma or GED is not required.

To apply, complete this form by July 31. After submitting this form, you will be invited to attend a mock class/information session, which will introduce you to what an Odyssey class will look like. These sessions will be held August 1-12, 2022. Attendance at one of these sessions is a required part of your application to the Odyssey Project.

Because space is limited, submitting an application does not guarantee admission to the program.
