The Department of Mathematics Alumni Awards have been created to celebrate and recognize our exceptional alumni who have made significant contributions through outstanding professional achievement, or have provided noteworthy service to the Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. There are four award categories:

• Achievement Award for outstanding professional achievement that demonstrates the value of a mathematics education (BS, MS or PhD) from the University of Illinois.
• Outstanding Recent Alumni Award for a recent graduate (within 10 years of final Illinois Mathematics degree) for outstanding or noteworthy professional achievement.
• Alumni Humanitarian Award for demonstrating the values derived from a mathematics education by significantly improving or enhancing the lives of others.
• Actuarial Science Alumni of the Year Award for actuarial science graduates and who have made outstanding contributions by exceptional accomplishment in the actuarial profession or in non-traditional areas of actuarial practice, exceptional service in local, state or national affairs, or exceptional service in support of the advancement and continued excellence of the Illinois Actuarial Science Program.

The deadline for nomination submissions is November 1, 2019.
