required8. Project TI 3 prepares interdisciplinary professionals to serve infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with disabilities who have high-intensity needs. It is a 5-year interdisciplinary project that provides funding for 12 full-time graduate student scholars in school social work. Scholars will gain expertise in supporting the social emotional development of young children and using trauma-informed supports as foundation for providing responsive, evidence-based services to young children (birth through five) with delays or disabilities and their families. If you are selected, you are required to successfully complete a two-semester school social work internship that includes learning experiences in early childhood education. The School of Social Work MSW Program internship selection process requires students work closely with Field Education Faculty to identify approved school sites in Illinois. Most school social work internships include one or more combinations of the following grade levels: Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, High School. You must apply, interview, be offered, and accept an internship at an approved site in Illinois that includes at least a partial placement in early childhood education. Do you understand and agree to these requirements? If so, answer yes.
