Scheduling a Class in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library

We encourage faculty to use primary sources from the Rare Book & Manuscript Library for undergraduate and graduate level courses. We will gladly work with you to identify material useful for the course you are teaching. You may also schedule a consultation with a curator to work on a particular presentation. Please submit the request form below to schedule a class. Classes are scheduled on a first come, first served basis, so please try to schedule classes at least 2 weeks in advance.

Scheduling Information

Ideally, sessions should be requested 2 weeks in advance of your class meeting. Please note that during instruction sessions, only the instructor or librarian/curator should handle the material. Books and manuscripts should never be passed from hand to hand. Students may circulate freely around the tables to examine the material more closely and they are encouraged to return and request a particular item that they wish to examine more closely.
