HWW Summer Bridge Experience Program Recommendation - 2022

Program Background

Graduate students selected to participate in the Humanities Without Walls Summer Bridge Experience Program will spend 8 weeks in the summer contributing to a community organization in the Champaign-Urbana area. After selection, participants will connect with an organization, identify an area of need, and design a project to address that need.

This program offers a funded and facilitated opportunity for graduate students to:

Apply their humanistic skills and training in new ways
Contribute to an organization addressing a vital community need
Develop new skills and experiences
Explore unfamiliar career paths
