In order to address a current need among scholars for print materials, the Slavic Reference Service (SRS) staff will assist with duplication requests for short articles and entries from consultative sources. Duplication requests are restricted to 20 pages and dependent on access to print materials held at the University of Illinois Library, and subject to copyright restrictions on use. You can access the catalog at https://tinyurl.com/nt6spkbm
The SRS staff will be unable to fill duplication requests for materials not held at the Library. We will be glad to help you identify materials you may need at other institutions. These will have to be ordered through your home institution’s interlibrary loan department. Please complete the SRS Duplication Request Form for each request.
The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction not be "used for any purposes other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
