Research description:

I perform research in a neuropsychopharmacology lab that uses behavioral and physiological methods of analysis in rats to investigate motivational and behavioral consequences of drug exposure. Most recently we have been studying the metabolic and cognitive effects of combined alcohol and THC use in rats. Previously, I worked on a project that looked at the role of age in amphetamine abuse and its developmental consequences.

Advice:

There is no “right” path in college, so don’t be afraid to try things out! You will never figure out what you love if you don’t try new things—and the sooner the better. Research is not just for juniors and seniors.

Request a meeting:

There are so many research opportunities on campus for students with various interests. If you’re not sure where to start, schedule a meeting with me to talk about finding a research opportunity that will fit your specific interests.
